Olha Kuzyura – about the project “Sacrum/Profanum. Cycles of Revival”
On September 11th everyone had a chance to see Olha Kuzyura art through the eyes of artist. The Artist Talk took place within the ST•H Gallery project “Presentation Ukrainian artists on XII Florence biennale” that is realized with support by Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
Conversations about material, techniques, theme, about tribute to destroyed objects and energy that it brings through time with Olga opened a wide world of new creative ideas to the audience.
Olha Kuzyura feels the fluidity of time with her fingertips. Through the prism of perception, she preserves energy that is stamped on paper with a single pigment in the form dust, soot, rust, fingers, and documents the material layers of cultural and intellectual heritage.
In her practice, Olga pays tribute to the man-made, which is so much lacking in modernity. Through the installations, she proves that tactile contact with the work is necessary.
