Olena Priduvalova
…Painting is my job. When I am painting, I feel relaxed and at ease. I need solitude and silence in the studio, when my head and hands are concentrated. My main subject is the city of Kyiv the “portraits” of its streets, buildings, arches, corners, caryatids, the play of light and shadow. I look through the color, maximum intensity of color and light. The life is full of surprises. The main thing here is to preserve the ability to marvel at life. The nature exists already, it is perfect and you cannot depict it, only wonder and imagine it as you feel it. Then any house, street, tree or face captures and guides you … and here comes the inspiration. My works are to bring tranquility and joy.
Biography
1960 - was born in Kyiv, Ukraine.
1986 - graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
